Leading in the civil engineering sector
ELU is Sweden’s leading consultant in the civil engineering sector. The emphasis is on civil works design and our expertise covers every stage of the building process – from pilot studies to construction documents. In addition to engineering design, we also undertake surveys, inspections, repairs, reports and bridge classifications.
Specialized expertise
A large proportion of ELU’s civil engineering assignments consist of the design of bridges, in which all types of fixed and openable bridges are included. Assignments can also include various types of tunnels, port facilities, quays, ferry berths, retaining structures, temporary structures plus water and sewage systems.

Cooperation with contractors, suppliers and site managers has taught us the importance of creating easy-to-build construction solutions. With this in our mind during our design work, the contractor has the opportunity to focus on the important aspects during the construction work. A design solution from ELU is designed so that the contractor can carry out their work in the most efficient way.

It is often about ensuring roads and bridges conform to the existing environment.
