In order to succeed with digitalisation in the construction industry, we need to focus on the people behind it. Attitudes and ways of thinking are just as important as software and hardware. Cooperation between people is just as important as the interchange format. In order to achieve success, users need to find their own benefit from the digital model. This requires model focus and structured model information.
The idea and concept behind the delivery platform is based on structured model information and the option to adapt how the information is transferred from the creator to the recipient. The models are fully utilised, allowing for more efficient design and production, as well as the platform being scalable and software independent.
The basic idea is that the information in the model is reused at various stages, from concept to the management stage. This is achieved by focusing on the models and adapting them to the client’s needs. The delivery platform is essentially flexible and can be easily adapted to different projects/clients and their individual needs.
ELU has been involved in several projects, including Nya Slussen and Bypass Stockholm, which utilises model-based designs. We have lengthy experience of construction documents, giving us an understanding of the market needs and challenges, including the digitalisation ofthe industry.
In addition to providing model-based system and construction documents, we also assist our clients in meeting the project’s specific BIM requirements when necessary. Our delivery platform is adaptable and can handle the majority of different BIM strategies.
The delivery platform is a concept compiled by ELU together with Tikab. The scaleable and software-independent platform enables a structured method of work focused on the model.

✚ The delivery platform allows for current and collected information, provided in the format that best suits the recipient’s needs. The format may be anything from models and lists to information in databases.
✚ 3D-reinforcement and reinforcement specifications provided in the correct format give huge advantages in the construction site. For example, each reinforcing bar is given unique location details. With the option to add information to each reinforcing bar, the contractor has complete control of project progress. A further advantage is that all bars are available in the model, allowing complex connection points to be prepared in VR.
